Outstanding Chocies Living House Rules
- Respect for Others: Residents must treat fellow housemates, staff, and visitors with respect and dignity at all times. Harassment, violence, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Compliance with Laws: Remaining in the house must not violate any local, state, or federal laws. Residents are responsible for their actions and are expected to maintain legal conduct at all times.
- Curfew: All residents must adhere to the designated curfew hours unless prior approval is given by house management for work or other valid reasons.
- Substance-Free Environment: The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs, alcohol, or paraphernalia is strictly prohibited on house premises.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Residents must maintain cleanliness in their personal space and contribute to the upkeep of common areas by following the established cleaning schedule.
- Visitor Policy: Visitors are only allowed during designated hours and must be pre-approved by management. Overnight guests are not permitted.
- Participation Requirements: Residents must actively participate in house meetings, required programming, and any other activities deemed necessary for personal development and accountability.
- Employment or Program Engagement: Residents must be employed, actively seeking employment, or enrolled in an educational or training program as part of their reintegration plan.
- No Weapons: Possession of firearms, knives, or any other weapons is strictly prohibited on the property.
- Conflict Resolution: Disputes between residents must be addressed constructively. Physical altercations or threats will result in disciplinary action or removal from the program.
- Privacy and Boundaries: Respect the privacy and personal property of other residents. Entering another resident's room without permission is prohibited.
- Accountability: Residents are responsible for attending appointments, maintaining their schedules, and being accountable for their actions and commitments.
- No Gambling: Gambling of any kind is prohibited on house premises.
- Chore Responsibility: Residents must fulfill assigned chores as part of their contribution to the community living environment.
- Quiet Hours: Observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for all residents.
- Emergency Procedures: Residents must familiarize themselves with and follow all emergency procedures, including fire evacuation plans.
- Communication with Staff: Residents must maintain open and honest communication with staff regarding any concerns, challenges, or changes in their situation.
- Accountability for Guests: Residents are responsible for ensuring that their approved visitors follow house rules while on the property.
- Use of House Resources: Misuse or theft of house property, supplies, or resources will not be tolerated.
- Violation Consequences: Any violation of house rules will result in a review by management, and repeated or severe violations may lead to removal from the program.
